Retaining the outstanding ergonomics of the 560, the 580 offers enhanced performance in the form of either a fanless 1Ghz Celeron M, 1.5Ghz or 1.8Ghz whisper quiet Pentium M processor and ships with 512MB as standard. Ever aware of the features that their customers would like to see in new products J2 have designed the 580 such that it facilitates easy upgrade &/or serviceability of the product by making the main board and the hard disk drive simple to swap - just remove a screw and the hard drive slides out, or two screws in the case of the main board.

Everything our users appreciate in the J2 560 has been carried over to the 580, plus we’ve made it a system that can support the larger applications that our users in the hospitality sector increasingly wish to run at point-of-service. It also offers greater fault-tolerance.
